Daredevil Daze at Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Missouri

Even though it has been duplicated countless times I never mind running into one of these because they are so much fun.

What's really easy to forget is how the original coaster at Six Flags Great America really changed the coaster world.  When that coaster opened in 1992 it wasn't just us coaster nerds who lost their mind, the rest of the world did too.  The ride was on news everywhere you looked.  Honestly it garnered more attention than Batman Returns, which was the movie that it was themed after as Six Flags was owned by Warner Brothers back then.  Finally it was so popular the line would wrap all the way to Six Flags Great America's entrance with wait times 6-8 hours.  You might be able to argue that Batman: The Ride is the most impactful coaster since Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain took riders head over heels.

After Batman my nephew Aizak talked a few into a ride on Ninja.

As I'm no fan of head banging with an over the shoulder restraint around my head I decided to sit Ninja out.

If Six Flags would put modern restraints for examples the new Vekoma restraints with a rubber vest/lap bar holding you in this coaster would finally be ride able.  If they did that I'd gladly take Ninja for a spin as the sidewinder inversion followed by the best head chopper as the train dives under the chain return is a stellar one-two punch.
