Opening on May 31, 1971 Magic Mountain opened northwest of Los Angeles in Valencia California. Home to the legendary Great American Revolution looping coaster designed by Anton Schwarzkopf this park has grown steadily after being purchased by Six Flags in 1979 to a super park with seventeen coasters including Tatsu, X2, Viper, Twisted Colossus, Goliath and Superman the Ultimate Escape.
