With a legendary villain like the Riddler to deal with I made
sure to get a few of my super friends like Green Lantern and Super Girl
to help me out.
I really like it when parks have costumed characters out for the guests
to interact with. Especially for kids these are the little things
that make a day at a theme park magical. A know that we
are just meeting actors in costume but little kids think it is the real
thing. Getting to say hi to a larger than life character; like i got
to do when I was six years old when Darth Vader made an appearance at
Old Chicago, made a lasting memory.
While Green Lantern may be spending his time at the front of the Justice
League Battle for Metropolis ride, the coaster named after him is making a run for the border.
No Taco Bell has not purchased this ride. It has been a pretty
rough and troublesome ride so Six Flags has contracted with its
designer; Intamin, to make it an experience that people would want to
ride. The border that the ride is headed for is the US-Canadian
one as this is heading for Six Flags La Ronde as the new addition for
2020.
The joke is that ACE doesn't just stand for "American Coaster
Enthusiasts" as during our events the meals are primarily "all you can
eat". Here's Travis, Chris, Paul and Adrianna after enjoying one
of the many feasts during Coaster Con 42.
I have to be honest that I really forgot about Scream. Yes I did
take it for a ride during ERT one night when no one was there. The
problem is being an ok ride in a park with really amazing coasters
Scream
just blends into the background. It is a fun coaster but what Six
Flags really needs to do is to move it to one of their smaller parks
where it would be a BIG attraction instead of a coaster lost in the
crowd. As it is built out over the parking lot with parking spaces
still painted beneath it a plus if Six Flags moved it elsewhere would be to return some of the
parking lot for actual parking.
Part of our tour took us to this nondescript metal building back in the
back stage area of Six Flags Magic Mountain.
