Anyone who has been paying attention has known that Silver Dollar City is going to add a new coaster for 2027.



First off I heard back in 2024, when Fire in the Hole opened that Silver Dollar City REALLY wanted the American Coaster Enthusiasts to hold their 2027 Coaster Con at the park that was a pretty big clue that something was coming.  2027 also is the year that the new Silver Dollar City resort is set to open.  With the massive investment that a huge resort hotel consists of, it makes total financial sense that the park would want to add a new coaster to help fill rooms at the resort.  Then there was all of the land clearing, landscaping being added, and a ton of footers being added to the site between Powder Keg and Wildfire last year that signaled something new was coming.  Finally the giant mine tower that appeared on the site over the summer of 2026 gave a further clue that not only was Silver Dollar City getting a new coaster but it was going to be mine themed.



When an invite from Silver Dollar City appeared in my inbox of course I accepted.  As Bond couldn't get the time off, I of course asked Travis to join me for the big announcement.



All of the citizens of Silver Dollar City were out for the big day even the town sheriff.



The big brouhaha was a massive town hall that had been called by the Marvel Cave Mining Company to discuss their mining operations in the city.
