As Silver Dollar City is all about telling stories with their attractions and with the mine theme being the odds on favorite for what sort of a story was to be told it was not surprising seeing miners everywhere at the big town  hall.



Also with music being such an integral part of the Silver Dollar City experience a bluegrass band of miners just fits right into the atmosphere.



Moon Pies began in 1917 in Chattanooga, Tennessee as a snack for miners.  As Silver Dollar City is all about adding as much real history in their storytelling, there were saddlebags full of Moon Pies for all to enjoy during the big town hall.



The inside of the Opera House was transformed into a chamber deep beneath our feet where the workers of the Marvel Cave Mining Company were hard at work.



For a solid half hour as citizens of Silver Dollar City filled the hall the miners were busy at work extracting the resources in the ground below.
