A nice addition to Indiana Beach is a nice historical display in one of
the buildings. It was full of all sorts of memorabilia and history
from the parks ninety-eight year history.
They also had a ton of old signs from the park going back to the 19650's
that were found in one of buildings attics that are up for sale.
Bond absolutely could not leave without a sign of his own.
Since we had to go and take the sign out to the car before riding more
it was a perfect time to hop on the parks classic Sky Ride.
A trip to Indiana Beach is just a step back in time to when there were
small lakeside amusement parks from coast to coast. Where there
were hundreds of little parks like this up to the early 1960's only a
handful of parks such as Indiana Beach,
Arnold's Park,
Lake Winnepeseukah, or
Quassy
Amusement Park have survived.
