With the end of May here and Memorial Day weekend of course I was heading to Kansas City and Worlds of Fun for the American Coaster Enthusiasts "ACE Around the World" regional event.

If you've ever been an one of the events that I help put on for the Heart of America Region for the American Coaster Enthusiasts part of the fun is getting behind the scene tours, part of the fun is getting to ride (especially during exclusive ride time sessions when the park is closed), and the biggest chunk of fun comes from getting to spent time with new and old friends such as Danielle here. Her first ACE event was the first ACE Around the World back in 2021 and she quickly clicked with all of us and now she is one of the many folks I look forward to hanging out with at ACE Around the World and any other time.

ACE Around the World at Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Missouri

A surprise for me at this years ACE Around the World was running into Dave Johnson. Back in the early 2000's when he was in college we visited parks like Six Flags Worlds of Adventure with a common friend. He's now a director at Worlds of Fun. It's great to see him again and have him as part of Worlds of Fun's leadership.

ACE Around the World starts well before the park opens as we always have a nice early morning behind the scenes tour.

In years past at ACE Around the World we have had tours of Zambezi Zinger, Prowler, Mamba, and Timber Wolf. This year we went for our biggest tour yet. We started back under Patriot, checked out Timber Wolf, and finished up at Mamba.
