Mamba was the last of the three hypercoasters that Cedar Fair purchased
from Morgan Manufacturing. The first was Wild One at
Valleyfair in 1996, Steel
Force at Dorney
Park in 1997 and then culminating the following year with Mamba.
I know there are a lot of Steel Force fans out there but I prefer Mamba.
It has a better tuurnaround.
With hill after hill Mamba continues the rides fast paced and airtime
filled run back to the station.
Ok one more photo of Mamba before we go.
Everyone loves a Troika; especially one that was saved from the scrap
heap, refurbished and given a new life like Mustang Ranch as.
Another ride that everyone should love is the train ride. It gives
you a few minutes to get off of your feet and relax while taking in the
scenery.
Speaking of the scenery that you get to see on the train at Worlds of
Fun is Prowler. The reason this is the only photo of that coaster
is I didn't get the chance to ride it as there was some issue with it
and it was down on the day of my visit.
My day at Worlds of Fun is just what the doctor ordered for me. A
day of coasters always rejuvenates and having a park that is really
working hard to give guests a wonderful break from reality makes
everything that more effective. It is great seeing a park working
hard to make a better experience for all. This is one of the
reasons why I will be having a season pass for the coming years.
Thank you Worlds of Fun and I look forward to Winterfest this year and
all the visits next year and beyond.
