Winterfest at Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Missouri

WinterFest had costumed characters all over the park including the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

Riding Windseeker with the temperatures in the 30's wouldn't be the most enjoyable experience so Worlds of Fun has turned the ride into a giant Christmas tree that can be seen all over Kansas City.

The lights on Windseeker are programmable and put on a wonderful light show that could be seen all over Worlds of Fun.

For Winterfest the pond under the Ripcord Skycoaster is turned into Snowflake Lake for those who wish to lace up a pair of skates and hit the ice.

While I really appreciate the "walkers" for those less experienced skaters there is no way I'd give it a try. First my ankles say "no" and secondly the reason I will not try ice skating is because ice is hard...real hard and I would most certainly land on it over and over.
