Winterfest at Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Missouri

As we come to the final page of this trip report what did I think of Worlds of Fun's WinterFest?

It was wonderful. Charlotte and I had a great evening out.

The shows and the characters were wonderful. All of the scenes where guests can take their own holiday photos were nice.

The food was great. The cookie decorating was fun. It really was a wonderful event.

My only problem is WinterFest is only open from 5 to 10 pm. I understand that at night with all of the lights glowing from every corner of the park is really the magical time to go but with such a short time in the park it really limits guests from coming to visit WinterFest from outside of the Kansas City area. I mean we drove three and a half hours to get there and three and a half hours back and we were only at the park for five hours. It would be nice to see them open it up a bit say noon or two pm to ten. That would give guests the opportunity to ride during the day and enjoy the lights and shows at night.

Outside of expanding the hours and maybe adding some fake snow and some sledding/tubing to one of the hills in the park WinterFest was an awesome holiday event and a huge addition to Worlds of Fun. I am certain that WinterFest will become a holiday tradition for many families in the area.
