Our bags are packed and ready to go.



A few of the locals like to leave an offering here in hopes that that creature they call the "Yeti" won't interfere with our travels.  Silly native superstition!  There is no Yeti.



The train's boilers are heated up and it is ready to take us up to our base camp.



Bond is happy he doesn't have to climb the first few thousand feet up the mountain. 



Like the AC-DC song goes..."It's a long way to the top if you want to rock-n-roll" as the train heads up the second of Expedition Everest's three lift hills.
