The E.T. Adventure at Universal Studios Florida, Orlando, Florida

The E.T. Adventure is one of the attractions that opened with Universal Studios Florida and I think it may be the only remaining original ride. The E.T. Adventure loads you on a bike for an adventure with E.T. that takes you on a chase away from the feds, onto E.T.'s space ship and all the way to his home world. Compared to the other attractions at Universal Studios Florida the E.T. Adventure looks really dated. The thing is being dated is why I hope they never close this ride. As it was built by Universal Creative when you look at it compared to attractions like Revenge of the Mummy, Transformers The Ride-3D, Men in Black or the Escape from Gringots ride you can see how far Universal has progressed in creating completely immersive experiences. The E.T. Adventure needs to stay as a testament to Universal Creative.

There is one thing that needs to be updated for the E.T. Adventure. They need to bring back E.T. saying riders names when he tells you goodbye at the end of the ride. When E.T. first opened riders had to enter their names on a computer while waiting in line and were given an "interplanetary passport" that had a computer readable name on it. The ride op punched in your name and gave you a passport that was given to a ride operator when you boarded resulting in E.T. personally saying goodbye before the ride experience ended. While not essential to the ride having E.T. talk to my little brothers by name really blew their minds.

The E.T. Adventure sits in the Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone section of the park which is also home to one of Universal Studios Florida's four coasters.

The Nuthouse Coaster is a fun little ride and...

...one more coaster to add to my total coaster count. There is no coaster too big for me to ride and there is certainly no coaster too small for me to add it to my list.
