I wonder how many loops are on this coaster?



The Double Loop is probably one of the best kept of the Arrow looping coasters.  It's 26 years old and runs significantly smoother than Arrow coasters that are half it's age.



What's fun to think about is when Double Loop was built in 1977 it was considered a very tall coaster where nowadays the tallest coaster in the world is 5.12 times taller than it.



Unlike most Arrow designed coasters Double Loop does not immediately start off with loops.  You have a nice drop and then up a hill into...



...the tree turnaround as I call it.  It's nice turning around up in the canopy of leaves before heading into the loops.
