The Grand Ole' Carousel at Six Flags St. Louis/Mid America Park By Enchanted Parks, Eureka, Missouri

After The Boss it was time to take the lovingly restored Grand Ole' Carousel for a spin.

One thing that has been on the parks "To Do List" is to eventually enclose this classic carousel so the horses can be protected from the elements.  With Enchanted willing to invest in their parks (the CEO James Harhi said "if you are not growing you are dying") hopefully these works of art are enclosed sooner rather than later.

Last year during the reopening of the Grand Ole' Carousel I was told that the rides two two chariots would return this year.  They have not yet made an apparance but Danny did say that they are still being worked on and once they are back on the ride there will be another grand re-opening of this classic carousel.

Here's Jacen and myself enjoying a nice go around on the merry go round.

Six Flags St. Louis brought this classic back to life on a shoestring budget.  Just imagine what they can do when being owned by a chain that actually wants to invest and grow the park?
