This is some of the detail that Six Flags St. Louis brought back
during this renovation.

The detail that went into each horse to make them look amazing a
hundred feet away as well as an inch away is astonishing.

What impresses me the most outside of the artistry is that Six Flags
St. Louis didn't have to make this as good as they did. They
could have just gotten a roller and slopped some paint on it like
another park in the chain did to their classic carousel recently.
Instead they saw this for what it is, which is an amazing canvas
that has the power to make memories for generations to come.
They dedicated themselves to make the Grand Ole' Carousel as grand
as possible.

Instead of having a good ride that would fulfill the guests need
they went all out to make it the best ride for their guests.
Having spoken to Six Flags St. Louis' General Manager Danny and
others in management Six Flags St. Louis understands they are in
business to make memories. The Grand Ole' Carousel is
certainly going to make some now and for decades to come.

In addition to all of the horses the Grand Ole' Carousel has two
chariots. These two horses are the lead horses for the war
chariot. The second chariot is themed to peace. Both of
the chariots are still being worked on and will return to the ride
in the spring of 2026. Originally these horses jumped but at
soe point after the carousel opened at Six Flags St. Louis in 1972
they were disconnected from the cranking rods making them stationary
due to safety concerns as they are so close together.
