What's also magical is how much love has been put into this classic ride.



For years the staff of Six Flags St. Louis fought for this ride while corporate wanted to rip it out, sell it off, and replace it with a modern fiberglass one.



Yet those who lead Six Flags St. Louis kept fighting for it year after year.



The fight went on until they said "fine, if you won't fix it we will".



This "can do" attitude lead to a single horse being taken off the carousel to see if they could do it on their own.
