Just a little side note that Six Flags painting department has
really stepped up their game lately. Of course with an actual
artist on staff to work on the restoration of the Grand Ole Carousel
and signs like this I am not surprised.
I am a bit of a fan of these photo spots all around the park.
One thing I am not a fan of the whole "burlap = frightening/spooky
movement". Yes it is Halloween season but you can scrap the
burlap.
With interior theaters closed due to the pandemic Six Flags brought
the long running and super popular "Love at First Fright" show out
in front of the Palace Theater to keep it going.
The area around the Palace was transformed into a massive cemetery
to further dress it all up for "Love at First Fright".
Well with night approaching and crowds rolling in (although nowhere
as crowded as it would be pre-Covid) Bond and I decided on one final
lap on American Thunder before calling it a day.
It was wonderful to see how the park is adapting to not only survive
but to add a little joy to those who visit. It was also
wonderful for one last day at a park with Bond as from now on our
opportunities to visit parks together has to do when he has leave
and isn't on an aircraft carrier out in the middle of an ocean.
