Fright Fest 2014 at Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Missouri

One of thee things that no matter the year that Six Flags St. Louis has always done right was to turn the train ride into part of Fright Fest.

In years past the train has been held up by the TNT Gang, had to deal with the evil "Pigman" and a few other monsters but this year the train was going all radioactive on us.

Despite the "theme" to whatever story they add to the ride the train always stops by the River King Mine Ride where there are a few set buildings.  There is normally some monster, cowboy, mutant or redneck farmer that attacks the train and whatever happens the finale is when this building falls apart and then blows up.

It is always a good time mostly because everyone on the train riffs the actors and action and makes it all into a giant real life "Mystery Science Theater 3000".

One thing that I really liked about this years Fright Fest was that Six Flags St. Louis really went out of the way to put some sort of theming, attraction, scare zone or fun Halloween thing everywhere in the park like this hay maze.

Squeezed between the train station and Tsunami Soaker the Hay Maze was not that big but to us the fact that they did it.  Little attractions like this that you have some fun with your friends and family are what really makes a great Halloween event.
