The American Thunder (Formerly Evel Knievel) roller coaster at Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Missouri

The only thing that changed, just like to the big sign down in front of the ride if they took the old logo off and slapped a new logo on it.  They painted over the "Evel Knievel" on the front of the train and plastered a "American Thunder" sticker on it.  This is why I hate naming rides after things, people or brands.  I mean at least Six Flags has an insanely long licensing deal for Looney Tunes or DC Comics  but when I first heard about "Tony Hawk's Big Spin" or "Evel Knievel:The Ride" my gut reaction was that the names were going to be changed within five years and it turns out I was right.

Here's Andrew and Greg taking in some more Thunder.

Yeah the ride's name has changed but at least it's still one hell of a coaster and none of that has been taken away.

It's great spending a day at a park with friends but sometimes Bond and I just need to break away and find some place to sit down and chill.
