The only thing that changed, just like to the big sign down in front
of the ride if they took the old logo off and slapped a new logo on it.
They painted over the "Evel Knievel" on the front of the train
and plastered a "American Thunder" sticker on it. This is
why I hate naming rides after things, people or brands. I mean at
least Six Flags has an insanely long licensing deal for Looney Tunes or
DC Comics but when I first heard about "Tony Hawk's Big Spin"
or "Evel Knievel:The Ride" my gut reaction was that the names
were going to be changed within five years and it turns out I was right.
Here's Andrew and Greg taking in some more Thunder.
Yeah the ride's name has changed but at least it's still one hell of a coaster
and none of that has been taken away.
It's great spending a day at a park with friends but sometimes Bond and
I just need to break away and find some place to sit down and chill.
