With all of the work on the Screaming Eagle, like it's namesake it
just flew, especially over all of the hills, sending my rear out of the
seat again and again.
The ride was fantastic. I am thrilled it's going to get painted, hopefully
they'll restore the running lights as that sort of traditional touch would
be fun. The ride was still has a small bit of sluggishness around
the turns. Maybe those will get some work over the next month and
a half to make the Screaming Eagle completely perfect.
Here's Chris, Mike, Greg and Andrew heading out for another run in the back
of the Screaming Eagle.
Andy and I are bad...we broke the Rush Street Flyer. Actually we didn't
brake it but we sat down and pulled down the lap bar what we thought was
all the way down. So the ride operator starts checking restraints
by pulling up on all including ours and then tried to start the ride.
With our lap bar not fully down of course the ride wouldn't start.
I looked down and saw our bar up a little bit and pushed it down but by
this point she was on the phone with maintenance and was told to shut it
down. D'oh our bad.
Maintenance showed up, checked it out and it was up and running later.
We rode it again and Andrew and I made sure our lap bar was all the way
down this time.
