The Shock Wave Rollercoaster at Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington, TX

It takes forever to creep up Shock Wave's lift hill but once you're under the power of gravity you need to prepare yourself for a truly masterful work of coaster art.

Anton Schwarzkopf kept Shock Wave's structure to a minimum while using extremely strong and flexible track.  Also the restraints are about perfect with no bulky over the shoulder harness.  You've just got the lap bar to securely hold you in and not encumber the ride experience.  So sit back and put your hands in the air and have a fun ride.

Yeah Shock Wave has two vertical loops which are force filled and a ton of fun but it's oodles of airtime really make the ride one of the best on the planet even after twenty-nine years.

Shock Wave doesn't have an extravagant station, any theming or anything else.  It's all about the ride.
