Yeah, Shock Wave has been dwarfed by bigger or more technologically
advanced rides but when you visit Six Flags Over Texas just take a seat
in the back, pull your lap bar down with a little bit of room for you to
fly and just soak in the experience I'm pretty sure you'll see what I see.
Sitting here after months of thinking how to describe Shock Wave none of
my words or even pictures can do it justice. It is just a work of
art that can only be properly enjoyed by taking it for a ride.
Shock Wave is showing it's age a bit as it had a few shut downs during the
day but like they did with Shock Wave's sibling Mindbender at Six Flags
Over Georgia it is going to go through an extensive rehab in 2008 so it'll
be thrilling generations of riders more in the decades to come.
I've never been a big fan of super tall S&S tower rides like Superman
Tower of Power since most of the time they're so tall you really don't feel
the force of going up or down once the initial blast is over. I have
to say that's not true of Superman over at Six Flags Over Texas as you get
several kicks up and down it's over 300 foot height.
