There are three rides designed by Arrow Dynamics that are right
next to each other that are just perfect. You have Jet Stream,
Ninja and a ride that I'll talk about in a few.
As you can see in this photo of Luke, Paul, Adriana and Mike the Jet
Stream will get you wet.
With a keen eye that is always looking for interesting places to snag a
photo sometimes buildings like this one stand out and become a center of
attention. All walled up and giving off the vibe of "pay no
attention to me" it was obviously some long lost part of Six Flags Magic
Mountain's past.
Going up the hillside walkway I got this little view inside which looks
like an giant turntable like you'd see used for rapids or flumes but
obviously this was for some sort of tracked vehicle. Thankfully we
have the wonders of the internet to look up cat photos and old park
pictures. It turns out when Magic Mountain first opened there was
a cable car called The Dragon that slowly crept up the side of the hill.
The station on the top of the hill is now used for the Ninja and this
was the lower station. The Dragon was known for being so slow it
was quicker to walk up the hill. Looking at this was like a little
archaeological dig. Despite enjoying getting to discover a bit of
the past it would be nice if Six Flags would put some sort of spinning
ride in here to breathe it new life.
The construction zone next to the Jet Stream is our next corner of Six
Flags Magic Mountain to explore.
