The X2 Rollercoaster - American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con 42 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California

Despite the roughness I have to say "Wow".  It is a hell of a ride.

After a little experimenting I do have some tips to transform your ride from one of pain to one that is a lot of fun.  First off sit in the inside front seat of the left side.

The second tip is for the last third of the ride pull your legs up into the fetal position.  This will keep your legs from slamming into the seat over and over during X2's finale.  My large bike riding created calves slamming into the lower seat really gurt.  Going all fetal removed all of that discomfort and mixed with the front left inside seat turned a ride that I at first disliked into something wonderful.

Despite all of the shortcomings and the fact that this ride killed one of the great pioneering steel coaster manufactures, X2 was amazing.  I loved it.  I do have a suggestion for Six Flags if they ever want to remove it and send it to another park in the chain this would look amazing up on the hill at Six Flags St. Louis.

Massively expanding his coaster count on this trip X2 ended up being Travis' 100th coaster.
