Not only is X-Flight
a fantastic ride with a perfect mix of
inversions, low to the ground bits, a wondrous mix of g forces, close
calls with theming and more but it was also placed perfectly inside of
Six Flags Great America to give everyone a front seat view of everything
the ride in store for them.

A slightly selfish reason to love X-Flight is with two trains that hold
thirty-two riders as long as Six Flags Great America isn't packed there
is rarely a long wait to take it for a flight. With no one at the
park on this day that meant no wait so I was duty bound to get airborne
on X-Flight over and over.

Squeezed between X-Flight and The American Eagle sits the newest
addition to Six Flags Great America: Sky Striker.

Sky Striker is a Giant Discovery model ride that is produced by Zamperla.

The Giant Discovery is a pendulum ride where the ride platform swings
back and forth while slowly rotating. While I was hoping to give
it a few spins but weirdly it wasn't running at all. Kind of
surprised to see it not running especially since it opened a few weeks
before my visit.
