DC Universe at Six Flags Great America, Gurnee, Illinois

The name change for The Flash was part of the "new" DC Universe section of Great America. The new area is just the chunk of Yukon Territory from The Joker to the other side of Batman where all of the old theming was removed. So new names for rides, some fresh paint and a nice new sign for the area is what constitutes as a major investment for one of the chain's largest parks. With this in mind I wouldn't hold ones breath in anticipation of any new ride for any of the Six Flags chain while Selim Bassoul is running the chain.

Batman as always is a wonderfully photogenic coaster.

At least Six Flags didn't have to change anything with this ride for the new DC Universe section of the park.

Even though this original ride has been copied twelve times, unlike the also mass produced Vekoma Boomerang, I'll gladly get in line for another copy of this and ride it over and over.

Out of the eight different copies of this ride the original and it's mirror image clone at Six Flags St. Louis are my favorites.
