Looking at the station for Maxx Force I was really surprised how
much the station looks like the station for Top Thrill Dragster at Six
Flags Great America's competitor Cedar Point.

It's as almost if Six Flags Great America was trying to give customers a
similar experience to Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point? It is
just kind of amusing how Six Flags Great America really went out of
their way makig Maxx Force Top Thrill Dragster-ish.
Now I have to be honest that I purposefully avoided watching any videos
of this ride before this visit as I wanted to really be able to honestly
experience it for the first time. Sitting in the front row of the
first train of the day Maxx Force didn't quite give me what I expected
from the ride's record breaking launch. The train slowly rolled
out onto the launch track and came to a stop. The launch shuttle
moved back to connect to the car in preparation for launch and then...
...we sat there.
We sat there for twenty minutes under the hot summer morning sun
while maintenance was called to get the ride up and running.
When Maxx Force finally kicked in and launched us oh my lord!
Coasters don't scare the crap out of my but this launch did.
Maxx Force sends you from stillness to seventy-eight miles an hour in
one point eight seconds. Just say those words "one point eight".
It took longer for you to say it than it took for Maxx Force to get you
up to well...max force.
