The Maxx Force Roller Coaster at Six Flags Great America, Gurnee, Illinois

By this point in the ride you have sped up some hundred and seventy-five feet in the air and inverted but your brain is still back at the launch track trying to piece together the obscenely intense experience that it just went through.

At this point in the ride which is about ten seconds into the experience and eight point two seconds after Maxx Force's launch has had its way with you your brain finally mutters some colorful expletive about what just happened and you finally get to look around and notice that you are way above the Whizzer.

With your brain catching up to your body you start actually experiencing Maxx Force in real time as the train takes you through a "dog tongue" inversion that inverts you, rolls out of it before inverting you once more...

...before sending you plummeting earthward again.

If you have issues with heights as Maxx Force rolls over this is where your acrophobia might kick in.  For me it was a really relaxing moment of tranquility after Maxx Force's stunning first act.
