Six Flags Great Adventure

Most of Great Adventure I really liked as there was landscaping, scenery
and a lot of shade but when we headed over to get the last two coasters
of our visit I felt like I was at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom with way too
much asphalt and no shade. My guess is that we were walking on former
parking lot spaces.
This is the station for the Great American Scream Machine. I'm not
sure what it's themed to look like but it kind of reminds me of a
Buick dealership from the 1950's.
I was interested in giving the Scream Machine a try as it is a copy of Six
Flag great America's now lost Shockwave coaster. I loved Shockwave
when it opened as it's spiraling drop really got me over my fear of riding
and into coasters.
The Great American Scream Machine opened a year after Shockwave is almost
an exact copy except that it's three feet taller so that Great Adventure
could make the claim of tallest looping coaster in the world back in 1989.
