Harley Quinn is not the only villain in the DC Universe at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

The Joker began in 1999 as Roar.

Roar was one of the twin Great Coasters International designed coasters that opened at Six Flags America and here at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in 1999.

The western Roar twin lasted until 2015 when the coaster was given over to Rocky Mountain Construction to be turned into a steel coaster.

Rocky Mountain Construction; like they have done with coasters like Iron Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, used the pervious coaster layout as a rough draft and then once the old wooden track was removed the ride was reworked into a sick and twisted steel coaster layout. With such a twisted ride calling it The Joker is more than a little fitting.
