One Final Visit

The movie "Wild West" called and they want their steam powered
robotic scorpion back.
What's frustrating about Six Flags America is you have areas that are
devoid of any theming like Gotham City and then you walk into Steamtown
and there is theming everywhere. With a little creativity, name
changes, some paint, and lots of copper piping to fit the steampunk
theme this makeover probably didn't cost tons but it looked great.
The reason for the makeover of Coyote Creek to Steamtown was Six Flags
America's final addition: Steam Whirler.
The Steam Whirler is a wonderfully themed NubulaZ ride from Zamperla.
Travis, being a fan of flat rides decided to take Steam Whirler for a
ride. It sends you up and over in a circle while the entire ride
rotates. As it didn't go too fast I am a little tempted to give
one of these a try. With this ride being practically brand new the
chances are high this will end up at another park at some point.
What's frustrating is if Six Flags threw this level of theming to the
entirety of Six Flags America when they dropped four coasters on the
park in four years after turning it into a Six Flags Park maybe they
could have been real competition to Kings Dominion and made enough to
not get axed. Unfortunately it seems like Six Flags interest in
doing anything with this property was sporadic at best.
