Between the two helices is this wonderful airtime hill that is preceded
and proceeded by two unique stretches of track. The track
that I am talking about are nothing too special...they are just
straight. Exiting the first helix and before you enter the second
helix are two sections of completely straight track. I know that
might sound really boring but when you are speeding through it at 65-70
mph it gives you the chance to really just enjoy the speed and power
that Superman The Ride of Steel has.
Once Superman is dome spinning you around at high speed comes its
wonderful airtime filled finale.
Superman's finale is filled with twists, turns and some violent ejector
seat airtime.
As aggressive as the finale is it tops off really a completely perfect
coaster.
I have to say here at the end that I really wasn't looking forward to
having two days at Six Flags America. I was less than impressed
with it on my previous visit and I did go into this visit with a bit of
apprehension.
The only issues we had were Sunday when the park and especially the
water park completely overran due to Six Flags offering a buy one get
one free ticket. There were cleanliness issues that evening but it
was obvious that they park was not ready for the crowds. Outside
of that we had employees friendly ad really working their behinds off to
give all guests a wonderful experience. Carrie and I both had a
great time and now I would have no problem running back. Superman
is amazing and The Wild One really caps off the park.
Thank you to Six Flags America for the wonderful time and for all the
work that you do with your park.
Now we are on to spend two days at Kings Dominion and then Busch Gardens
Williamsburg for Coaster Con 41.
