Looking at the layout, even if you removed all of the theming and landscaping, Silver Dollar City has a great ride here.  Throw back in all of that theming, landscaping and mix in a little bit of Silver Dollar City's magic and we've got a very, VERY good ride headed our way.  I'm certainly planning to get an All Season Trailbalzer so no matter the wait time I can ride this coaster over and over and over.



Had a great time chatting with Joey from Silver Dollar City's marketing department.  You can tell that someone who works at a park really loves their work when they get as excited about a new ride as a coaster enthusiast like myself does.  It is hard pressed to find anyone at Silver Dollar City that is just there for a job.  Joey and everyone else are here because they love it and it shows.



After the announcement came out I do have to say that I was a bit surprised at some of reactions from the coaster enthusiast community online.  People were so disappointed that Miner's Mountain Express wasn't a super giant ultra looping super monster coaster.  Those rides, that you'll find at parks like Six Flags, attract primarily teenagers.  Silver Dollar City's market is absolutely not teenagers.



If you have ever spent some time walking the streets of Silver Dollar City just take a look at the people who are lining up for rides, shows, heading into a store, or enjoying the parks culinary magic.  Look around and you are going to see families.  Not just mom, dad, and the kids.  Silver Dollar City's big draw are multi-generational groups of families.  During each day of this visit I saw at least twenty family groups with grandparents, parents, kids, aunts, uncles, and cousins roaming the park together creating memories that they all will take home and cherish until they can return to make some more.  This is Silver Dollar City's market and it would be crazy to expect a new ride that doesn't serve that market.



For those who aren't excited to see a really fun, thrilling, and well themed ride like Miner's Mountain Express but would rather ride the newest biggest thrill monster that is built over an empty lot with very little theming or story, then there are other parks out there for you. For me,  I'm excited about getting what looks to not just be a quality ride but a dam fun ride at one of my favorite parks.
