My first visit to Silver Dollar City this year back in March was all about me getting my coaster fix after a long off season.  This visit is a little different.  This visit was for Carrie and I to get away, enjoy one of our favorite areas together, and yes, have some fun at one of the few parks she really likes to go to.



Silver Dollar City is always good about having different events throughout the year to add a little more excitement to the park.  During this trip Silver Dollar City was having their Spring Exposition.



As we headed through the Hospitality House into the park we noticed the new Silver Dollar City newsprint merchandise.  The newsprint paper bags that Silver Dollar City has become so iconic to their guests this year the park is celebrating it with shirts, mugs, baseballs, umbrellas, a jigsaw puzzle and more with newsprint all over them.



Living for the most of our lives on the flat plains of Illinois there is just something about heading into the mountains that feels special to the two of us.  We love the area around Silver Dollar City so much our retirement plans are to find some acreage on the side of a mountain and build a house.



With wind blowing through the trees, water flowing down the hillside, and the sound of coasters and screams you could use the word "tranquil" to describe Silver Dollar City.
