A quick tip if you want to enjoy Silver Dollar City with NO crowds then
visit on a Friday in April. It almost felt like we were the only
people in the park during our first day there.
The waterfall behind the Lumber Camp restaurant has always been one of
those quiet and relaxing corners of Silver Dollar City. As Carrie
doesn't ride coasters, whenever I head to snag a few laps on Wildfire
this is where she likes to chill.
Speaking of heading to Wildfire while heading there I held my camera
over the fences surrounding the construction site for a really nice look
at the construction of the new ride. As you can see there are a
lot of footers. For a little scale to how big they are, take a
look at the two construction workers near the bottom of this picture.
All around the area between Powder Keg, the American Plunge, and
Wildfire there are footers everywhere. It looks like there is
going to be quite the tangle of track on, around, and over this part of
the park.
Here you can get a wide view between Wildfire and Powder Keg and
of the new walkways and rockwork.
