Some of the citizens of Silver Dollar City were out bright and early to greet is as we entered the park.



 The papergirl was out making sure everyone had a copy of The Pathfinder, which is the official newspaper of Silver Dollar City.  The big news in this edition was that the original Fire in the Hole's final ride was on the horizon but citizens shouldn't worry too much as a new version of the favorite is getting added on the other end of the city for 2024.



Like most of the Coaster Christmases we were let into the park hours before the park was set to open for presentations and a behind the scenes tour.  A new addition this year was a silent auction with funds going to the American Coaster Enthusiasts Preservation Fund.

 

There were all sorts of things up for auction.  From a wheel made by Arrow Dynamics for Thunderation....



...to one of the signs from Fire in the Hole's "Big Reveal"...
