The Glass Blower at Silver Dollar City, Branson, Missouri

While I was busy getting a few rides on Time Traveler and Thunderation my wife was busy in Silver Dollar City's Glass Blower shop.

You see she had this wonderful glass mug that she purchased here a few years ago.  She used it daily as her drinking cup and unfortunately it met an untimely end.  She pulled it out of a very warm dish washer and poured ice cold water into it.  As she started to pour something in her head went "oh crap" and half a second later her beloved mug cracked.

When we headed into Silver Dollar City I told her she should ask the glassblowers if they would make her a custom mug.  She did while I was on Time Traveler and they said yes.

The glassblower asked Carrie what type of mug she wanted, what colors she liked and then he got to work heating and adding glass as he blew and worked it step by step into what would become a mug.

The glass is heated up to 2,400 degrees as the glassblower worked it into shape.

With a few damp layers of newspaper the bubble of molten glass started to form into shape.
