With the instantaneous kick of speed from the second launch Time Traveler sends you up and through this high banked turn...



 ...and then down and up into the brake run.



Time Traveler is really a fantastic ride and a superb addition to Silver Dollar City.



With it's neighbor; Thunderation, you have a little more thrill on the upper level of the park.



Anymore I have a tough time with Thunderation trying to figure out if it is my favorite mine train coaster. I keep waffling back and forth with which mine train is the best.  There is the amazingly landscaped Quicksilver Express at Gilroy Gardens and then there is Thunderation that is built into the terrain perfectly at Silver Dollar City.  Both are terrain coasters which are a huge plus in my book.  Both are buried in the woods which is another plus.  Finally both are insanely fun rides.  Thunderation edges Quicksilver out a little bit on the intensity score but both are near perfect rides.  The solution is to say that Thunderation and Quicksilver Express are tied for the greatest mine train that I have been on.
