Modern li
fe is stressful, fries you, cranks up your blood pressure
and sometimes you need to just leave it all behind for a day of fun.
When Bond and I need to escape modernity for a little relaxation 1885 is
the perfect time for us and the best place to go is our favorite theme
park in the Midwest: Silver Dollar City.
Of course once back home in the City we made a beeline for our favorite
coaster and favorite seat (the back one) and took it for a ride.
Getting thrown about, up, around and upside down on 2,937 feet of track
at speeds up to 68mph is the best way to shake all the stress away and
get into a completely relaxed state.
Silver Dollar City is a sensory smorgasbord with sights, sounds, tastes
and some insanely amazing smells coming from the skillet stands that are
located around the park.
One of the things that I love and respect about Silver Dollar City is
they are open about who and what they are. The flag is raised in a
ceremony every morning where veterans are honored before the Pledge of
Allegiance is spoken. There is a church on premises and it is used
for regular service. They are proud Americans and they live their
faith. Everyone is welcome and everyone is family at Silver Dollar
City.
