Silver Dollar City is one of the most beautiful parks in the
world. There is not a single corner of the park that isn't covered
with trees, wonderfully landscaped or doesn't look like it was always
that way.
There has been an insane amount of gab happening on social media about
these survey markers that recently sprung up around Thunderation's
queue, the Echo Hollow Amphitheater and all the way back to The Grand
Exposition.
There are all sorts of various numbers and different colored ribbons on
the survey markers.
Now if you look carefully the survey marker in the back it says
"Coaster". So the big question to ask is this really for a coaster
and if it is what kind? With these covering a large section of
wooded and hilly real estate it certainly gets the coaster enthusiast's
imagination going and heart beating?
Other changes to notice is that land clearing has began. You can
see this from the road into Silver Dollar City and if you take
Thunderation for a ride there is clearing down at the bottom of the
first half with trees wrapped various colored ribbons around them
marking which ones to remove and which ones to keep. Another thing
to note is that next to Thunderation's lift sits a brand new double wide
trailer...the kind a construction company would use for a site office.
Whatever it is I would look for it to be big. As this is Silver
Dollar City it will be something amazing. I don't think anyone
outside of park management and those who have access to the
aforementioned construction office really know what it is going to be.
I had meetings with Silver Dollar City's Public Relations staff for my
other job of being a Regional Representative for the
American Coaster Enthusiasts (we
are planning several amazing events including Coaster Christmas this
November 12th) and I was told that the coaster was not what everyone was
guessing (B&M Hyper or Wing Rider at the time). Who knows but time
will tell.
