While Outlaw Run is THE ride at Silver Dollar City the rest of the
coasters there (with the exception of the Exposition Coaster which is just
a kiddie coaster) are all world class rides. Yeah some big parks may
have quantity but Silver Dollar City has quality. Speaking of quality
that is one thing that can always be said about Bolliger and Mabillard who
designed Wildfire.
As you can see there are not many people in line for Wildfire, actually none.
We did get to chatting with Wildfire's extremely friendly crew (sorry Outlaw
Run but Wildfire's crew is the friendliest, funniest and my favorite) about
coasters and I asked what these red attachment points on the back on two
of the seats were? It turns out that B&M are making a harness
for their coasters so that people who are missing limbs can ride.
These attachment points allow for a rider with just three inch appendages
to ride with a harness that attaches to these in order to keep them in the
ride safely.
I am thrilled to see parks and manufacturers making their rides more people,
including those with special needs can ride. It gives me a little
hope that some day I might have a small chance of being able to take my
nephew who has a rare genetic disorder to a park and share with him what
Bond and I love so much.
Wildfire is one of my favorite loping coasters and is one of the most picturesque
coasters on the planet.
Of course if you put a coaster on the edge of a wooded ravine and place
a nice observation platform overlooking it camera nuts like Bond and I will
have fun taking plenty of photos of it.
