Like I have said time and again coasters are a work of art and need
to be appreciated as such.
The next time you visit Silver Dollar City head to Wildfire and say hello
to Pennie. As she put it "Wildfire is my ride and has been for seven
years". I love ride operators like her because she takes pride not
only in her job but her ride. Silver Dollar City and Hirschend Family
Entertainment may own Wildfire but until the day Pennie is no longer running
Wildfire it is hers and she treats all of those who want to visit her ride
with that friendly and proud attitude..
Now you can't visit Silver Dollar City and just ride the coasters with what
is one of the most well rounded out parks all around you. There are
shows, shops, food (especially the skillets which are heaven) and craftspeople
all around the the park so that there is something for everyone to do, see,
taste and experience. Bond and I enjoyed watching this gentleman make
pretty much perfect 4 by 4's with nothing but an axe and his eye.
That kind of skill just amazes me and shows you can do anything you put
your mind to and decide to work hard at.
Being "An Old Time Christmas" decorations and holiday cheer were everywhere
around Silver Dollar City.
Even Grandfather up in Grandfathers Mansion was full of holiday cheer.
