Down the hall from Lynn's Hallmark was the F&E Continental Graphic Arts.
Here is a photo of the Ye Old Chicago Tobacco Company. This store
had everything from cigar roller that would roll custom cigars to all
sorts of pipes, bongs, hookahs, and other smoking paraphernalia that
certainly wasn't used for tobacco. In fact one of the gentlemen
looking into the display wrote me several years ago. He said they
were very specifically shopping at Ye Old Chicago Tobacco Company for a
nice pipe to consume some weed in. Despite his younger dalliances
with what was then an illegal substance in the state of Illinois he
turned out well becoming a nice and respectable accountant.
There's noting like a little Dixieland Jazz to help one get in a festive
shopping mood.
