One of the first rides you came to was one of Old Chicago's star
attractions, the Log Race.
The Log Race was a log flume designed and built by Arrow Dymanics.
As log flumes go it was a simple but good ride. Guests boarded and
headed out on the trough. You eventually ended up in a long dark
tunnel before heading up the lift. Once at the top the log would
speed down into the lake for a splashdown. Arrow worked their log
flumes so they could control how wet riders would get. With Old
Chicago always at a nice comfortable temperature they had these set so
you didn't get too wet. Besides who would want a bunch of wet
people heading out into the mall to go shopping while dripping over all
the merchandise.
What's a day at a amusement park without some balloons. At Old
Chicago you could even get one of those new silver Mylar balloons that
were so futuristic back in the 1970's for $1.50.
If you like games of chance where you might win a stuffed animal then
Old Chicago had plenty of games for you to try.
