Let's take a look at one of Old Chicago's Training Manuals.
This is not a complete manual but most of it is here and is an
interesting look at how the Fairgrounds wanted employees to behave and
present the park.
What's nice is this isn't your old stale as heck manual from Human
Resources. They start it out by letting employees know that their
job is to make guests smile and they are "the magic in Old Chicago".
With quite literally hundreds of people working together to make Old
Chicago happen having a face to the names of the management team makes
it easier for employees to know who they are interacting with.
If you didn't know, Angus Wynne was the founder of the Six Flags Chain.
He was brought in to fix Old Chicago after Robert Brindle was forced
out.
With a shopping center and amusement park mixed together you are going
to have a lot of departments. Just looking at the management team
you have a food and beverage, park operations, maintenance and
construction, marketing, games, mall manager and more departments all
making Old Chicago work.
