Next on our tour of Michigan's
Adventure is the Wolverine Wildcat.
The Wolverine Wildcat is the
first coaster from the team of Summers & Dinn who kept the art of
the wood coaster alive during the eighties and early nineties.
While it is not a figure eight
layout Wolverine Wildcat is basically the same layout as Knoebel's Phoenix.
Yes it doesn't cross over but the order of elements are the same.
Here's the double down like
the Phoenix has. The thing is the similarities with the Phoenix
end with the layout. The Phoenix is a smooth airtime machine while
the Wolverine Wildcat is rough and offers little air. It's like
the Phoenix without a soul.
Of course towering in the background
is a coaster with plenty of soul but we'll get to that in a little bit.
