Behind the castle wall sits one of Marineland's oldest attractions
the Deer Park.
Once inside the Deer Park you are greeted by a herd of fallow deer who roam
the enclosure.
Fallow Deer are native to Eurasia and are a little different than the normal
variety you might find roaming the woods and fields of North America.
One of the visible differences is that they have different coloring and
rougher coats of fur than our white tail deer.
For a few dollars you can become Marineland's deer's best friend for a few
minutes by purchasing a ice cream cone full of food pellets.
Marineland is a really gorgeous park and as we were heading out of the Deer
Park it got a huge accolade from Carrie. She looked at me with a big
grin and said:
"You know what? This is a park that I'd come back to."
That is no small accolade as Bond and I with our passion for parks and having
lived next to an amusement park for five years has really burned her out
on theme and amusement parks.
