The Ghostly Gangplank at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America, Bloomington, MN

Well I was wrong about being able to handle it...totally wrong.  This is the exact moment when my panic attack kicked in.  You see at work first off we have double layered, triple stitched industrial strength climbing harnesses.  These weren't.  Now the ones they use are plenty safe but not having it as industrial strength made me,  Mr. terrified of heights just a little nervous.  Then the first level of the course was about thirty feet above the park's floor.  and then beyond that I stepped out onto the tightrope.  Big mistake.  You see at work when I'm 50 feet off of the ground I'm stepping onto a solid piece of steel.  Yeah it's an inch wide but it's solid.  This wasn't.  As I stepped out it started wobbling side to side and that's when the panic attack showed up and pretty much kicked me in the ass.  I tried to make it so that Bond didn't see it so I stayed up there doing a few other parts but when we headed up to the second level which was forty-five feet above the floor, and crowded as hell.  That was my limit.

So we headed back down to level one and I let Bond climb around while I headed on down where our friends Keith, Fred and Jerry who we ran into before taking a walk on the Gangplank were hanging out.

Bond had an awesome time exploring the Ghostly Gangplank.

Here you can see how high the Ghostly Gangplank goes.  For those really brave on the top level you can walk the gangplank and pull a cord that rings a bell.  I seriously doubt I could make it up there but it would be nice if the levels increased in difficulty with more solid pathways on the first level and less the higher you go.  That way people like me could work our confidence up slowly before stepping out onto one wire.  Still it's a cool addition to the park and it only cost $4 to do it.
