We had no idea how long the train ride was when we got on but it was
nice getting out of the park and out to a farm. We figured that it'd
soon turnaround and head back but we kept going...
...and going further and further out through the countryside.
Here's Bond and I while we enjoy our ride on Little Amerricka's Whisky River
Railway.
The Merrick Family who owns Little Amerricka built this train also have
a business that builds engines and cars for railroads like this and for
railroad enthusiasts. I haven't found much on the parks history but
my guess is the park began as a railroad built on the Merrick family land
as a hobby. After a while I could see them taking on riders and then
making the jump into amusement park by adding rides to bring in more customers
for their scenic railway and then everything just grew.
Eventually way out there in the country side the Whisky Railroad finally
turns around and the long trek back to the park began.
