Lakemont Park and The Island Waterpark, Altoona, Pennsylvania

One ride we all could fit in was Lakemont's Antique Car ride.

As Bond now has his learning permit we like to play a little game with car rides where he tries to keep from hitting the guide rail that keeps the car on the track.  He normally does pretty good at it.  That was impossible with this car ride as it is fast and the track is pretty curvy making it impossible for Bond not to bump into the rail again and again.

Even though Lakemont Park lost a lot of its charm with Boyertown the park's owner has brought a lot of it back as there are trees planted all over and you can still take a stroll down by the lake and sit a while just relaxing and enjoying a nice summer day.

You can even get a little active and enjoy the lake as Lakemont Park has a fleet of peddle boats to take out and cruise in.

The final part of Boyertown that is still a part of Lakemont is The Island Waterpark.  The Island is a prefect name for the water park as it sits on an island in the late.  The Island consists of these water slides, a water play area and a pool.  It would be nice seeing Lakemont put a bit more into this area as the nearby DelGrosso's Park has been and is adding a lot to their waterpark and as a result that park was packed.
